Overview

MacBook Air is Apple’s thin and lightweight notebook built without a cooling fan. This configuration uses the M5 chip, 16 GB of unified memory and a 512 GB SSD.

The 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display has a native resolution of 2560 × 1664 pixels, supports the P3 wide colour gamut and reaches 500 nits of brightness.

The notebook can charge through MagSafe 3 or through either Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port. Apple specifies a minimum 30W power source and supports fast charging with a 70W or higher USB Power Delivery source.

Compatibility & practical notes

The MacBook Air M5 supports charging from standard USB-C Power Delivery power sources as well as Apple MagSafe 3.

The Anker Prime Charger 100W sold by Electronics Shop can provide sufficient power for this MacBook Air. When enough charger output is available, its USB-C output exceeds Apple’s 70W fast-charge threshold.

When charging the MacBook together with additional devices from a multi-port charger, the power available to the laptop depends on how the charger divides its total output.
